Soldier from 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment died in blast in Sangin Helmand range MoD says

A British infantryman was killed in an blast in Helmand range in Afghanistan today, the Ministry of Defence said.

The soldier, from 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment, portion with 40 Commando Royal Marines Battle Group, died nearby PB Waterloo troops bottom in Sangin. His subsequent of family have been informed.
